On-site Gallery
Our on-site gallery holds a permanent collection of photographs exhibited in a mix of visual productions, always exploring aesthetics and language resources in which the image assumes the centrality of the discourse. Photographing is, above all, a discursive act, beautiful and political, technical and intuitive, as to say, it´s Art and mobilizing power. Also, therefore, it´s an act of Education in the most deeper sense, which is the desire to touch others and invite them to read the world, as well as themselves.
All sectors of the gallery are in some way interconnected to the same research program on the image as discursive representation in different formats. Photography should not be taken as a single language resulting from the technique of photographing; far from it, photographying is a window to the production of language, something that should also not be reduced to the concept of genre conventionally employed in the study of verbal or analogous languages. It is the intention of the image, in the eye-desire of the photographer, that results in language, and with each intention, photography reinvents itself simultaneously as technique and product.
Take a trip through the sections of this on-site gallery and experience the languages I explore in the relationship between form and meaning, a discursivity intrinsic to the diversity of photographic acts.
